The Esther Effect

A Special Birth Announcement.

Everyone knows that labor is tough. The hint is in the word itself: LABOR. When you hear that word, your mind does not drift to swaying palm trees and the smell of coconut oil. No, your mind is filled with the sounds of grunting, visions of strain and pain.

Michael William Toach

Well this certainly was my experience on the 6th August 2009 as I brought our son, Michael into the world. Being a 4th time Mom, I knew what to expect. Or at least, as much as my memory served after 8 years since I had last encountered those ominous labor pains.

I was prepared for the contractions. I was prepared for the sleepless nights, but what I had forgotten about was the shortest phase of the labor process. That process is called: Transition. It amazes me how natural things teach us so many powerful principles of the spirit.

Surrounding this time God has been leading me into many new spiritual roads and as I went into physical labor, I could tell that it was also a time of releasing something into the spirit.

I tell you, there is no greater reality check than the grinding pains of labor and your firm resolve to "handle it as best you can." It is like getting the call of God, knowing full well the price you have to pay, but confident that you can pay it. That is ...until you hit that TRANSITION stage I mentioned before.

So imagine a bit with me if you will. Labor went relatively quickly and I was dilating fast. I was confident I could handle this! Pains were coming every two minutes and with the grace of God I was coping ok. But then suddenly things started to change rapidly. I felt a shift in my body and everything went berserk. Little did I know that the time was sooner than I thought. Midwives and the doctor rushed in and they confirmed it ...I was JUST about ready to push. But not yet. Just a few more contractions.

This little phase of transition is sandwiched between when active labor ends and the pushing starts. It is THE most intense phase of all. You can only hang on for dear life as you wait for the go ahead from the doctor and you hear those magical words "Ok! PUSH! Now is the time!"

When God calls us, our experience is no different. You head off with all good intentions. You face the deaths. You handle the rejection. But then something happens along your walk that takes a shift and suddenly the pressure gets put up a notch. You can see your ministry goal RIGHT in front of you, but like me, the Lord says to you, "It is not time yet. Wait. Just a few more contractions." So you wait.

It is at this point where you lose control. The waves are coming on you so fast, you cannot think. The pressure has increased so much, you cannot figure what is up from down. Then just as you think that the Lord has deserted you or that you missed Him entirely with this ministry thing, those magical words come in the spirit.

Toach Family

"Do not give up now my child, it is time to push!" This is the most magical and actually painless part of labor. It is also the most active and FINALLY you get to put into practice everything you have been building up for in the months and years before.

As I held my son in my arms for the first time, I could only let the tears flow as I looked on in disbelief at how perfect he was. The pain was forgotten. The drama had subsided and in those first euphoric moments, you think to yourself, "I would do that all over again, just for this little moment."

I promise, that if God has called you to do His work, that you will face the pains of labor. However I also promise that if you will only push through and let the Holy Spirit carry you through to the end, that you will look at all He has done and also say, "It was worth it all, if only for this moment."

Whether you have just conceived your ministry or are facing those tsunami waves of transition, know there is a reward waiting for you. Hang in there. Breathe. Wait. Wait for the go ahead and soon you will birth what God has conceived inside of you.

As for myself, my husband and little Michael, we are doing well and growing strong. He is forever a reminder that God is full of Grace and fulfills every promise that He makes. You and I, all we can do is to wait for the signs and push through to the end, but it is God that will conceive and bring into this world the promises He has given to us.

Response from Marjorie Schaeffer : Collette:
Strangely, I had just stumbled on and listened to Les' sermon on The Solomon Era. It moved me deeply as I witnessed the truth of his message and how it coincided with the events of my own life. Even now I am spiritually and emotionally ready to birth a new women's ministry just about the time that I have discovered and enrolled in your ministry.
God's Word is being birthed in my life as it is now in church. What an amazing time to be alive on earth.
Thank you for your ministry and obedience to your calling. I have much to learn, although I am now a grandmother. In some ways I feel that I am just beginning. ". . . for such a time as this".
Enjoy that beautiful son and may God bless you beyond your understanding!

Response from Gerald Scott : Colette and Craig,

Congratulations and blessings to you and your growing family. I know there are many like me, who smiled wide to see your special birth announcement.

Even in the birth of Michael, you take time to encourage. Colette I pray someday that God blesses me "on earth" to meet you.

Your wonderful birth announcement finds me and I'm sure many others whom you have ministered to, in that "time of transition."

Colette I can't help but to reflect on chapter one in your book Practical Prophetic Ministry. Of course how fitting is the title: "The Birth Of a Prophet."

In that chapter you share these words: "God said to you...now go out and find my prophets!" Find them and help them birth their babies.

Colette you are a tremendous gift to the Body of Christ, and as you and Craig celebrate little Michael's birth, I thank you for encouraging all who benefit from your gifting.

Colette God bless you and your entire family

Gerald Scott

Response from Dan Dickerson : Being a man I've never experienced child birth, but I did go into the labor room with my wife. While I have a difficult time relating to the physical pains a woman experiences I think I got a pretty good Ideal of the verbal abuse our Father in Heaven must get from some parts of his wife. I can only say that I'm very grateful my wife was drugged and and couldn't get up or I wouldn't be here writing this response :)
Seriously though, I can relate to the spirtual aspect your talking about. I think all Christians go through this whether in "full time" ministry or not. I know that I'm there right now. I liken it to Josephs calling and ministry. Until it was time for his ministry of salvation to come to maturity the word of the Lord tested him. His own dreams ( the embryo ) were planted in him and started him on a journey of pregnancy, pain, labor and finally birth. I've often wondered how many times Joseph felt like giving up on the dreams God had given him. Sometimes we exalt the people in scripture to such a degree that we forget they were all men and women of the same nature and passions as we ourselves have. Another one who reminds me of what you've written about here is Jacob and his journey.
You and the father birthed a very beautiful child. The Lord your High Priest is speaking His blessing upon you everyday.

Dan Dickerson

Thank you for sharing such a special moment and miracle. Welcome Michael William, you have given us all hope that miracles still happen! Personally, I would like to say to you Apostle how appreciative I am that you would share such a dynamic revelation given to you from God. Honestly, sometimes the labor pains are quite intense but thank you for the assurance that someday I too will hear the words "PUSH" as it relates to this vision and purpose I have been called to.

May God Bless You, Apostle Craig, Baby Michael, and the new "God Quad" (All the Toach Children).

Congratulations to you all and blessings to your family. May Michael rule and reign in life through Jesus Christ!

Response from Kat : First of all, continued blessings on the birth of your darling son Michael. He, along with your other children, are certainly a gift from the Almighty God.

I was extremely blessed how you were able to share your labor and delivery experience (both naturally & spiritually) with us. THAT IS TRUE LOVE AND TRUE MINISTRY! You testimony gave an enhanced meaning of the scripture, when it saids, I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my mouth!

I love how you tied your experience into how we experience spiritual transition. Being young in the prophetic, I am going through my transitional process where I can no longer hide in my comfort zone, but I must proclaim His Word!

Thank you so much for sharing this experience with the network. May God's grace and mercy continue to follow you all the days of your lives!

I love you all with the love of the Lord!

-KAT-

Response from Liliane : Congratulations to both of you apostles Craig and Colette for the beautiful baby boy ! I am sure apostle Craig is really blessed and happy "at last, a son is born! praise the Loooooord !"
I watched the video on the launching of the new Solomon Era by apostle Les, and I really loved it. I sent a review. Giving birth spiritually in the same family to a mighty event, a brand new era and, in the same time giving birth to a physical new baby, wow, it's amazing ! May God bless these two birthings abundantly!
Welcome to you Michael in our human world, thank you Lord for this blessing. Praise the Lord for His goodness !
I am preparing a small post to encourage my fellow prophetic training colleagues to "press on and through" until the birthing of what the Lord has put in them, despite the trials and hindrances they may have found in their prophetic journey.
I can assure you of one thing, apostle Colette, you are a very good model to us women in minstry. I enjoy it when you teach us about "giving birth" in the spiritual and the physical . For women it's a great and rich teaching. It is exactly what I am doing now when training and releasing women in ministry. Maturity must be reached before these birthings. It is a big, long and painful travail but the result is so beautiful, isn't it ? "Alléluia" ! I love you !

Be blessed abundantly

"Bonjour" ! and greetings from France
